Today, on April 22, we celebrate the Earth Day which was founded in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues. This holiday is now a global celebration of our planet that highlights the actions we can take to address environmental problems. The Earth Day 2022 theme is “Invest In Our Planet” and this year’s focus is how we spend our money on companies that take conservation seriously.

Sustainable tourism has a role of protecting Earth’s natural resources for current and future generations, as it is addressing current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities.
