Stage S10 of the Amazon of Europe Bike Trail begins in Terezino Polje, near the border crossing towards the Republic of Hungary. It continues on flat Slavonian roads through the villages of Katinka and Veliko Polje. Between the villages of Veliko Polje and Žlebina the route becomes a gravel road, and then an asphalt road continues to the village of Novi Gradac, following a gravel drive to Detkovac village.
Make time for fishing or relaxing
At the very entrance to Detkovac, turn a bit off the route, to visit the Liman oxbow nearby. There you can enjoy this beautiful lake that is a remainder of the old river Drava. Liman oxbow is rich in fish and therefore attracts many fishermen and hikers. Just a couple of hundred meters from the lake we come to the river Drava and the embankment, where we will ride further.
Breathe in the nature
Continue your cycling holidays on the embankment in Detkovac (Liman), which is a special experience. The gravel road is excellent for riding, so you can enjoy the rich nature along the river Drava. You can make a detour and visit Budakovac, a beautiful pond rich with fish and a resting spot for a large number of water birds. Like the waters of the Drava are rich with fish, the surroundings of the river are home to the most diverse wildlife. Keep in mind that you are in the area of the Mura–Drava Regional Park, which was re cognized by UNESCO in 2012 because of its outstanding natural values.
In the village of Kapinci, the route returns to the asphalt road, but at the first houses in Sopje , it already turns back to a gravel road which will take us to the bank of the Drava once again, and to the excursion area which is great for a rest after this part of the route. Continue your cycle tour along the Drava stream until you reach the end of Stage S10 of the Amazon of Europe Bike Trail, the village of Noskovci.
