The Amazon of Europe Bike Trail is an international long-distance cycling trail offering you an unique opportunity for cycling holidays, following the natural meanders of the rivers Mura, Drava and Danube, for over 1,250 km. The cycle tour leads you along both sides of these rivers, with their North and South Routes. Cycle through endless floodplains and picturesque cultural landscapes across five countries, where nature doesn’t know any borders.
Route
The Amazon of Europe Bike Trail runs along the rivers Mura, Drava and Danube and is split into two routes: the North Route (550 km) and the South Route (700 km), both of which provide plenty of opportunities to visit tourism attractions and to experience the rivers. Each route is further divided into daily stages β there are 11 stages on the North Route and 16 on the South Route, 27 in total. The start point of both routes of the Bike Trail is in the town of Mureck, Austria (close to Graz) and the end point in the town of MohΓ‘cs, Hungary (close to PΓ©cs).

Cycle for
nature
The Cycle for nature programme is our way of giving something back to this beautiful region and maintaining its extraordinary ecosystems of the planned 5-country UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube.
Let’s do it together! We have established the Amazon of Europe Bike Trail Destination Management Organisation, where a part of the contribution from your cycling holiday is used for financing nature conservation projects in the region. By booking your next cycling adventure with us you are directly giving something back to the nature of the Amazon of Europe.
